Nestled on the eastern side of the Warby Range, Silent Range Estate is home to the Barking Owl, a creature that emerges from the Range at night. If you’re quiet, you can hear the Owl’s eerie wail, said to be like a woman’s scream.
Silent Range Estate is now also home to award winning wines favoured by creatures of the night.

When one thinks of Glenrowan, the first thing that springs to mind is the folklore of the famous bushranger Ned Kelly. However, while not a large wine region, the Glenrowan Wine Region is one with huge personality.
Nestled within one of Australia’s oldest and most historic wine regions, Silent Range Estate specialise in high quality, award winning sauvignon blanc, sparkling shiraz, merlot, shiraz and fortified merlot. Their flagship wine is merlot, which is a consistent medal winner and is rated highly by those who have enjoyed its rich, complex flavours. All of the wines are worthy of the gold medals and trophies that Silent Range Estate has accumulated over recent years.

2006 Shiraz
Powerful, dark and brooding, the 2006 Shiraz opens up with aromas of Maraschino cherry, blackberry and chocolate with a hint of liquorice and vanilla. A full bodied wine with some chary oak and good length, finishing with fine tannins. Drink now to 2014.
A brilliant wine to serve with seared kangaroo fillet and cranberry sauce or other game meats. Regardless of the occasion, always enjoy it with friends.

2006 Merlot
Complex layered fruit, spice, chocolate and cedar notes are the hallmark aromas of the 2006 Merlot. The palate is up-front and generous, with a mouthful of intense dark berry fruit, wrapped in velvety chocolate spices. Finishing with fine drying tannins, the result is a winning combination for a very drinkable wine. Drink now to 2014.

Our first Sparkling Shiraz is perfectly named for our daughter Sarah Kathleen. It's vibrant powerful and leaves a lasting impression!
